Please share our condolences with your family. Al as well as the rest of your family are always in our prayers. I had the honor of working with three great guys Al , George Drake and Johnny Johnston all extremely loyal and great firefighters. I had the pleasure of working with Al , and also as a member of the Thursday Club. It was great times and Arlene and I will miss him sorely.

Very sorry to hear of Al's death. He was a the kind of guy that would take on the difficult role of letting all of us know of Firefighters' deaths. Members of the fire service that never even got to meet him are mourning his passing. We will all miss him.
Rest In Peace Al you helped us remember so many, you will not be forgotten.

There will be a large void in our world with the passing of Al. He was not only a comrade in arms but a dedicated mentor who continued his bond with fellow firefighters up until his too soon departure. I will miss my "operators SFFD" missives and his always ready smile.

Al was a person with a ready smile, a friendly comment & having the most admirable temperament. Many mourn the loss of family or friends but there are those few, that we actually miss making contact with. Al was such a person.

Very sorry to hear of Al's death. He was a great guy, and I appreciate his letting all of us know of Firefighters' deaths. It seemed so hard to read of his own death. We will all miss him. Al and you his family are in my prayers. Fr. John Greene SFFD Chaplain retired.

Sharon,
Al always had a smile on his face, was quick to make the people around him smile. He was the information person, always had the info that could make you cry, an obit for a brother or sister, or something that could make smile and laugh. I know when i would see him at a luncheon he would speak of his family with a big smile that came from his heart and and Al had a heart of gold. We, of the firefighting fraternity, will miss you Al as you were information central. Requiem Est In Pace
Jim
