Her parents were Kate Braswell and Robert Mosley.
Alice lived her earlier years in Whistler, AL and graduated with honors from Vigor High School Class of 1967. She retired as Office Manager for Prudential Insurance Company after over 30 years of service.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James M. Hood, Jr. of Semmes, AL. She is survived by her loving daughter and caregiver Leigh Ann Parker of Semmes and beloved granddaughter Lauren Kate Soutullo and husband Christian of Cantonment, Florida. Her sister Neilda M. Davison and her husband Woody Davison and their son, Tyler of Wynot, AL also survive her.

Mrs. Hood was a lifelong choir member at Chickasaw First Baptist Church and had been a member of Semmes First Baptist Church for 50 years. She loved her church family, especially her Sunday School class led by Lyndal Reed. She enjoyed reading her Bible, playing the piano and keeping in touch with friends and family. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and helping others in need.
Visitation will be held at Semmes First Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the sanctuary at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Semmes First Baptist Church Cemetery.
