Alice Butts Mott

She was a former member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Chickasaw and a charter member of Fountain of Faith Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edward T. Mott; son, Johnny D. Mott; and eight siblings.

She is survived by one son, James Mott of Saraland; one daughter, Joan (Joel) Johnston of Citronelle; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Mott of Saraland; three grandchildren, Dean (Dotty) Mott of Foley, Farrah Shook of Saraland and Ashley (Chuck) Helveston of Citronelle; four great-grandchildren, Christian and Deanna Shook of Saraland, Jordan and Jaylen Helveston of Citronelle; one brother, Newton Butts of Mobile; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

A special thank you goes to a dear friend, Linda Overstreet and the staff of Infirmary Hospice.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Monday, December 12, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Al Moore officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Joey Williamson, Billy Mott, Donnie Hail, Roland Fortenberry, Chuck Helveston, Ralph Hudson, Jerry Bailey, and George Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fountain of Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 1287 C Dead Lake Rd., Creola, AL 36525.
