She was born August 24, 1956 in Panama City, Florida to Jack Dempsey and Betty Retherford. She married Lester Holland on July 27, 1973. A long-standing member of the Assemblies of God church, she was active in multiple outreach ministries spanning many decades. While in her thirties, she earned a Master’s Degree in Family Marriage Counseling and had a successful career that impacted many. Alicia was known for her faith, her joyful demeanor, and her dedication to family, friends, and community.
Alicia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lester Holland, her son Heath (Bree), and one granddaughter, Lynde. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 12 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, Alabama.
