Alton Ray Harris – an 86 year-old native of Grove Hill, AL and longtime resident of Chickasaw passed away Friday, March 16, 2012. Mr. Harris retired from the Mobile Association for the Blind after many years of service. He was a longtime member of Lafitte Baptist Church. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall Nathaniel Harris and Sarah Elizabeth Guy Harris; sister, Mary Harris Clarke; and brothers, Hobson Harris and Guy Harris. He is survived by two sisters, Gussie Harris Harrell and Jeanette Harris Bufkin, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held in Pine Crest Cemetery on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
