Andrew Charles Driscoll – an 84 year-old native of Old Texas, Alabama and longtime resident of Satsuma passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Scott Paper Company as a mill manager after 35 years of service. Mr. Driscoll was a member of VFW Post 7320 in Saraland. An avid fisherman and gardener, Mr. Driscoll also loved Alabama football, music, and his dogs.
Mr. Driscoll was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Eula Mell Driscoll; brothers, Loyce Driscoll, Douglas Driscoll, and Daniel Driscoll, Jr.; and grandson, Jaron Daniel Urban. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Billie Driscoll; children, Dawn Driscoll Urban (Jeff) and Andrew Charles Driscoll, Jr. (Courtney); grandchildren, Trevor Driscoll (Chellie), Danielle Urban, Chloe Urban, Lily Jean Driscoll, and Harper Lee Driscoll; great grandson, Killian Driscoll; sisters, Deloris Wesley and Olean McWilliams; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 1626 Spring Hill Ave., Mobile, AL 36604.
