Athel Lavern Squires

She was born on April 10, 1938, in Richton MS. Hazel was the beloved wife and best friend of her one and love of 46 years, the late R.B. Squires.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her children: Thomas (Stacey) Squires, Ronnie (Shirley) Squires, Ricky (Theresa) Squires, and Roland Clark. She is the Granny of Shea (Shannon) Hayes, Jay Squires, Sprynghe (Dylan) Byrd, Brittany (JR) Perkins, Venessa (Darren) Pate, Reginald (Bonnie) Sayer, Terri (Randy) Perkins, Sandy Boykin, Tara Cost, Jonathon Coxwell, and the late Mary Coxwell. Great Granny of Kaytlin, Zander, Lil Jay, Ryan, Landon, Megan, Kourtney, Lane, Mellaney, the late Jaydyn, Melissa Ann (Ty), Damian, Casey, Sarah, Rose, Dominic, Nevaeh, Drew, Catherine, Destiny, Trinity, Thomas, Samuel, Aiden, Jaxson, Chloe, Everleigh, Aleena, Brian, and the late Adam. Great Great Granny to the late Bella and one sister Nora McMichael.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hester and Ruthie Mae Newell, husband R.B. Squires, sister Louise & brother Buddy, granddaughter Mary, great grandson Adam, great granddaughter Jaydyn, and great great granddaughter Bella.

Pallbearers will be Jay Squires, Shannon Hayes, Dylan Byrd, Jay A Squires, Ty Janmohammed, & Jace Willis.

The family will receive friends and family on Friday, August 27, 2021, from 9:00-10:00 AM at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL & graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saraland, AL at 10:30 AM.
