Barbara Hope Howell Meyer

Barbara Howell Meyer, age 85, of Wilmer, Alabama. Our dearly beloved mother entered into her eternal rest on Feb 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annie Howell, along with 13 siblings and a beloved son, Bill Wood.

Barbara was a loving and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a beautiful spirit, full of life, love and laughter. She enjoyed serving her family and caring for others. She had a wonderful way of making everyone feel special and incredibly loved. She will forever be known as our “Angel Mimi.”

Before retiring from the City of Mobile in the Urban Development Department after many years, she worked at WKP Wilson and Flair Homes for decades.

She is survived by her husband, Randy Meyer, and her four children, Gwen (Jerry) Miller, Geoff Wood, Jenni (Robert) Harvey and Greg (Regina) Wood, along with step-daughters, Stephanie (Jeff) Southerland and Audrea (Warren) Blackmon. She leaves her precious grandchildren, Brandon (Blake) Miller, Jared (Emily) Miller, Joshua (Jarah) Harvey, Mindy (Shawn) Deas, Luke (Layken) Harvey, Chase (Kaitlyn) Harvey, Bradley Wood, Kailey Wood, Sierra (Cody) Smith, Savannah Wood, Cheyenne Wood, Quentin Wood, Skylar Wood, Taylor Blackmon, Tiffany (Payden) Black, Travis (Tracy) Southerland, and Garett Southerland along with her great grandchildren, Charlotte, Emma, Maddie, Bran, and Lainey Miller, Wrenley Smith, Hadleigh Wood, Gavin Rosco, Kaitlyn and Payton Black, and Braxton Southerland. She also leaves behind one darling sister, Brenda (Bob) Anderegg and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Wilmer Cemetery.
