Barney Ray Jackson

Mr. Barney Ray Jackson, age 79, of Saraland, AL, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 21, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Hattie Jackson. Mr. Jackson proudly served his country for over 20 years in the United States Air Force, where he taught electronics. He was a longtime member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge, Leonard Wood-Phillipines. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan Taylor Jackson; daughter, Rebecca S. Pilgrim (Colbert Glenn) of Crestview, FL and son, Paul Jackson (Sylvia K.) of Leesburg, AL. He is also survived by brothers, Thomas G. Jackson (Barbara), Satsuma, AL, Billy Joe Jackson, Mobile; sisters, Hattie Bea Truelove, Meridian, MS and Vera Taylor, Silas, AL; ten grandchildren, Clayton and Kimberley Pilgrim, Mobile, Benjamin Pilgrim, Saraland, AL, Daniel and Michelle Pilgrim, Crestview, FL, Judy and Joseph Benedict, Gulfport MS, Lisa and Greg Lawrence, Bowling Green, MO, Cara Courtney, Melissa Thornberry, Allen Stone, Shiree Stone, all of Leesburg, AL, James and Kelly Stone, Centre, AL and seventeen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family. Visitation was held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 6:00 p. until 9:00 p.m. Graveside was held at Spring Bank Cemetery, Bollinger, AL on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. All Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
