Beatrice "Mamo" Stagner Amacker, age 92, of Turnerville, Alabama passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022. She was born in Turnerville, Alabama, Friday, November 8, 1929 to the late Henry Myra Parnell Stagner. Beatrice worked at Kress at the lunch counter in high school, Goldstein's Jewelry Store as a bookkeeper, and Chavis motors as a secretary. She was a graduate of Citronelle High School, class of 1947. Mamo would read, sew, crochet, listen to Big Band music of the 40's, and watch old movies (especially musicals and westerns). She loved to laugh and had the most infectious laugh imaginable. Mamo loved the Lord and her family with all of her heart. She loved watching college football, especially the crimson tide. Mamo even ended up with a larger tv so she could see the downs on the bottom of the screen. Known by her family and friends as Aunt Bea or Mamo, she never took for granted the special moments shared with everyone.
Mamo was preceded in passing by her parents; her beloved husband, James Horace Amacker; one son, Johnny Jack Amacker; four stillborn infants; a brother, Leon Stagner; and a nephew, Gary Michael Stagner.
