Beatrice Hope Hearn, 85, of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama. Beatrice was born on December 12, 1939, in Mobile, Alabama on Marine Street. Beatrice married the love of her life and best friend Robert G. Hearn Sr. on September 12, 1958, on the front lawn of Robert parents’ home in Saraland, Alabama.
Bea was the most loving and devoted wife/mother/grandmother and great grandmother of 68 years. It was amazing to see just how she was able to juggle so many responsibilities and make it look effortless. Many times, she had to be at three different ballparks after picking up her kids from three different schools as well as help run her husband’s office duties and cook three different meals each day, every day. Bea taught 4th grade Sunday School for over 30 years with so many of her students still today mention her name as being just the sweetest and how she was so instrumental in their relationship with our Heavenly Father. Beatrice was a member of Spice Pond Baptist Church where she would always say they were her extended family.
Bea is preceded in death by her parents Edward J. Untreiner and Elma V. Hester, her two sisters Catherine Lambeth and Betty Watkins. Beatrice is survived by her loving husband Robert G. Hearn Sr., her sons Robert Gary Hearn Jr. (Melissa), David A. Hearn (Cathy), daughter Susan A. Stevens (Dink), Daniel Scott Hearn (Angela), Joseph Brian Hearn (Brandy), her niece and best friend Libby Dickey. Grandchildren, Kristin Patterson (Jamie), Lindsey Hearn (Logan), Taylor Lundy (Anthony), Hannah Oliva Hearn, Jackson Hearn, Jason Kitrell, Johnny Kitrell, Chandler Hearn (Shannon), Gabrielle Hearn, Landien Hearn, Owen Hearn, Preston Hearn, Mary Hannah Hearn, Melissa Coker (Matt) and Christopher Stevens (Clara) and 15 great grandchildren.
The Family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Terry Lynn for loving their mother as her own as she attended and administered love and care to ensure her well-being.
A graveside service for Beatrice will be held Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 10000 Celeste Rd, Saraland, AL 36571.
