Betty Lou Jarman

Betty Lou Jarman, a native of Mobile, was called home on May 20, 2014 at the age of 79. Betty was born on June 11, 1934 in Brewton, Alabama, the daughter of R. Edward Dixon and Emma Lou Steiner. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Wayne Dixon, who she adored dearly, and passed away in 1975.

Betty completed her studies and graduated from C F Vigor High School in 1953. She spent most of her life dedicating her time to raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was blessed to celebrate her life with her 6 children, daughters Sharon Orso, Brenda Weaver, Cathy Dixon, Linda Cuchiara, Kay Snow, and son Kenneth Jarman. 10 grandchildren; including the late Felicia Orso, and 8 great-grandchildren.

A private memorial will be held for immediate family at Radney’s Funeral Home in Saraland, Al from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm May 24, 2014. Betty will be resting at Forest Lawn & Gardens Cemetery, 10000 Celeste Rd. in Saraland, AL. The family will greet friends at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm. The family wishes to thank all who have cared for Betty, including home health and hospital nurses as well as other family, during her last moments.
