Betty was born on August 6th, 1932, in Citronelle, Alabama to Joe and Ada Lott, owners of the "Delux Cafe". At the age of twenty-three, while working as a cashier as Andrew's Hardware, she met and married a handsome serviceman from the 82nd Airborne division of the United States Army. Together, Betty and LT raised three children in their loving home, Shiela Stonecypher, Danny Lowery, and Mary Tate.
Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her father, Joe; her mother, Ada; and her son, Danny Lowery. She is survived by her devoted husband, Lonnie "LT" Lowery, age 91, and her two daughters. Throughout the years, Betty was blessed with six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and even one great, great-grandson.
Antique doll collecting, arrowhead hunting, and yard sale treasure finds were her passions. For many years she was president of the Mobile Doll Club and leaves behind an extensive collection that will be donated on her behalf. Betty was known for her kind and compassionate spirit.
Graveside services will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Celeste Road in Saraland, Alabama on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021, at 2pm. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
