Betty Sue Skidmore Bavar

Betty Sue Skidmore Bavar, native of Russellville, AL, loving mother, friend to many and a longtime resident of Saraland, AL, passed away at a local hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Curtis and Sallie Madden Skidmore, husband Charles Bavar, son David Chancey, sister, Sarah Doris Brooks and brother, Larry Wayne Skidmore. She is survived by her daughter, Judy McElhenney (Gordon) of Saraland; son, Ricky Chancey (Rebecca) Of Wagerville and daughter, Sheila Smith (Thomas) of Chunchula, AL. She is also survived by two brothers, Robert Skidmore (Betty Jean) of Citronelle and Donnie Skidmore (Daphne) of Mobile, AL, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Chapel services will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Smith, Westley Smith, Jason McElhenney, Chris Yost, Travis Maxon and Barry Skidmore.
