Birdeen Ward Donald

Mrs. Birdeen Donald of Mobile, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She had resided in Dallas for the past 13 years. Before moving to Dallas, Mrs. Donald was an active member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She was employed as a lab technician for International Paper Company for 25 years and worked at the Prichard Library for 17 years. She was a compassionate and loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Donald is survived by her daughter Carolyn W. Fillingim of Dallas and her grandchildren; Sean Fillingim and Felicia F. Poarch and husband Mike M. Poarch. She is also survived by two nieces, one nephew, great-grandchildren; Garrett W. and Anna Grace Poarch. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Donald, son-in-law, Woodrow W. Fillingim and brothers, Paul Alumas Leach and Harlos Leach. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, AL on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Chapel services will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be offered to Myers Memorial Baptist Church, 307 S.
