Carol Chamblee was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Chester and Carrie Ott on May 27, 1951. She graduated in 1971 from Ouchita Parish High School in Monroe, LA. She worked as an operations supervisor at Colonial Bank before she retired in 2007.
Affectionately known as Deda, Carol was a woman of unwavering faith, gentle strength, and boundless love. Her trust in God guided every part of her life, and she lived her faith not only in words, but through kindness, patience, service, and compassion for all she encountered. She was a steady source of encouragement, always pointing others toward hope, prayer, and grace. As a mother, Carol loved selflessly and faithfully, leaving a legacy of love and faith that will continue through all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, prayers and encouragement were a blessing to many. Though deeply missed, we find comfort in God’s promise:
“Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Lord” – Matthew 25:21
