A devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend, Sandee will be remembered most for her kind and generous spirit, her unshakable faith, and her deep compassion for others.
Born on December 29, 1970, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sandee was the daughter of Susan Pizana and the late Julian Pizana. She grew up alongside her brothers, Julian and James, and carried her family’s strong sense of love, humility, and perseverance throughout her life.
Sandee was a proud educator whose passion for helping others led her to a fulfilling career in special education. She dedicated many years to the students of Saraland High School, where she worked in the special education department until her retirement. Her colleagues remember her as a tireless advocate for inclusivity and a guiding light to countless students. She was also an active member of Project Outreach Gulf Coast and joyfully volunteered for the Special Olympics, where she touched the lives of children and families through her warmth and encouragement.
Her proudest accomplishments were her two daughters, Hannah E. Kelly Osborne and Autumn N. Kelly, whom she loved deeply and raised with unwavering devotion and faith. Sandee cherished every moment with her family, and her greatest joys came from simple pleasures—going to the beach, watching sunsets, and spending time with her beloved granddaughter, Delilah.
Those who knew Sandee would describe her as kind, intentional, loving, generous, accepting, inclusive, and God-fearing. She embodied grace in action and believed in the power of love and faith to transform lives. Her caring heart left an imprint on everyone she met, and her legacy of compassion will continue through those she inspired.
Sandee is survived by her devoted husband, Eric K. Kelly; her daughters, Hannah E. Kelly Osborne and Autumn N. Kelly; her mother, Susan Pizana; her brothers, Julian and James Pizana; and her precious granddaughter, Delilah. She was preceded in death by her father, Julian Pizana.
A celebration of Sandee’s life will be held on October 20th from 5–7 p.m. at the Bragg Mitchell Mansion on Spring Hill Avenue. Brother Ricky Watts will officiate the service beginning at 5:15 p.m., followed by a reception catered by Smoking Gringos and Bottles Up.
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.’” — John 11:25
