
Clifford O. Hougesen – A native of Escatawpa, AL and a resident of Chickasaw, AL died Monday, September 12, 2011 in a local hospital. Mr. Hougesen served in the Army and Navy during WWII. He worked with the Community Patrol for the City of Chickasaw. He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Alan Hougesen. Survivors include his wife, Margie Hougesen; two children, Terry Hougesen and Rose Marie (Larry, Jr.) Lage; one brother, Frank Hougesen; three grandchildren, Cheryl (Gerald) Ware, Crystal (SGT Matthew) Reddish and SSG Michael (April) Lage; ten great-grandchildren, Allie, Kasie, Bonnie, David, Sean, Sarah, Chloe, Seth, Dorian and Draven; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland with Rev. Curtis Smith officiating. Organist will be Jan Beckham. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon prior to services. Interment will be in Creola Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Shannon Lister, Jay Lister, Eddie Coaker, Cheryl Ware, Crystal Reddish and Michael Lage. Honorary pallbearers are Frank Moorer, Johnny Beckham, Dean Lunie, Henry Phillips, Gean Adair, Ret. MSGT Larry Lage, Sr., Ret. SFC Larry Lage, Jr. and Brian Godwin.
