

David Glen (Dave) Eddins – age 77, passed away February 14, 2012 in Chickasaw, Alabama. David was a native of Conecuh Co. and a resident of Mobile for 50 years. He was preceded in death by his father Dave and mother Lenora Pitts Eddins. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Peacock Eddins; one son, Gary G. Eddins (Debbie); one daughter, Diane Ham (Bob); five grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Brooke, Wes, and Christina and six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Katherine, Victoria, Halli, Grace, and Trevor along with cousins and a host of friends. Mr. Eddins owned Eddins Plumbing, Inc. in Chickasaw and was in the plumbing business for 40 years. He served on the City council of Saraland from 1968 – 1972. He was a member of the Howard E. Blackwell Lodge No. 899 Masonic Order and a member of the Abba Shriners in Mobile. Dave was a ten year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Korea. A special thank you to his doctors at Mobile Infirmary; Dr. O’Dowd, Dr. Panayiotou and Dr. Albert Coker, as well as the staff at Diagnostic and Medical Clinic. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12:00 noon prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association and the Shriners Children Hospital.
