Delores J. Phillips - loving, wife, mother, and friend, an 83 year-old native of Cullman, AL and longtime resident of Chickasaw passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. She worked for 28 years as a licensed cosmetologist and, after her retirement, worked at McPhillips Manufacturing for 10 years. She was a former member and Sunday school teacher at Meadow Garden Baptist Church and was a current member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasaw. She will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her mother, Jennie Mae King. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Henry W. Phillips; daughter, Lisa Phillips; sister, Doris Kollar (Frank); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held from the First Baptist Church of Chickasaw on Monday, March 18, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the 12 noon funeral service. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Chickasaw, 92 5th St., Chickasaw, AL 36611.
