Doreen Storey Robinson

Doreen Storey Robinson, 81, was born March 30, 1940 in Darlington, England to the late Arthur Leslie and Sarah Jane I’ansan Storey and was called home on March 22, 2022 surrounded by loving family in the comfort of her home.

Doreen was born in Darlington, England and immigrated to Alabama in 1978. Her greatest accomplishment was being a Nana. For the past 43 years she has been an active member in the Saraland/Satsuma community. After she retired, she enjoyed coordinating activities for the Satsuma Senior Center.

Doreen enjoyed her time with The British Women’s Club in Mobile, playing bunco with her girlfriends, and “digging in the dirt”. She and her late husband James were known for their beautiful yard and sharing the bounty of their garden with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings: Connie Brack, Thomas Storey, Frank Storey, Ken Storey; and her spouse, James Robinson.

Left to cherish Doreen’s beautiful memories will be her three children: Lesley (Eddie) Doyle, Kevin (Jenny) Cowper, Sarah Piper; seven grandchildren: Christopher Doyle, Patrick Doyle, Kayla Cook, Emily Cowper, Carolyn Cowper, Anna Piper, Katie Piper; five great-grandchildren: Hadley Kyser, John Kyser, Anthony Doyle, Reagan Doyle, Finn Doyle; three siblings: Lesley Storey, Janet Cass, Lynda Gilbert Britton (Colin); along with extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A visitation for Doreen will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Satsuma First Baptist Church, 5600 Old Hwy 43, Satsuma, AL 36572.
