Mr. Earl Leon Stewart, age 101, of Chickasaw, AL, entered into rest Saturday, March 19, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 22, 2016, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Oak Grove Chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. J.T. Harrison will officiate.
Mr. Stewart was born outside Quitman, MS, December 25, 1914, and has resided in Chickasaw, AL, for over 60 years. He was a member of Central Church of Christ and Chickasaw Lodge #894. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Stewart Bollini.
Mr. Stewart is survived by his wife, Lois Irby Stewart; daughter, Betty E. (Jimmy) Carpenter; step-daughter, Sandra (Robert) Smith; step-son, Terry Irby; five grandchildren, Tracey Oubre, Lisa Carpenter, Annie Bollini, Jacky Bollini, and Michael Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.
