Edith Lorine Hudson

Edith Lorine Hudson – a native of Gerogianna, AL and longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 11, 2015. Mrs. Hudson served as president of Women’s Ministries for area Assemblies of God, where she planned and conducted rallies, retreats, conventions and seminars for women who attended over 30 churches in the area. She worked at Glendale-Minge Florist as a floral designer. She and her husband ran Autrey’s Fish Camp on the causeway for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Hudson; her daughter, Brenda Jean Hudson; one sister, Lois Harvill Hester; and six brothers, Willie, Elmer, Luther, Lucian, John and Autrey Harvill. She is survived by two children, Maralyn Russell (John) and J.D. “Donnie” Hudson (Shelia); four grandchildren, Travis Russell, Tonya Russell, Missha Waldrip and Kayla Hudson; one great-grandson, Hudson Turner Waldrip; and other relatives. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. from Fountain of Life Church. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearer will be John Harvill, Jr. Active pallbearers wil be Monte Harvill, Travis Russell, John Russell, Ronnie Lott, E.T. Vickery, and Mikey Hester. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the March of Dimes through USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital, 1700 Center St., Mobile AL 36604, Attn: Renee Rogers.
