Elizabeth Godwin Ellis – age 82, a native of Mobile, AL and a longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011. Mrs. Ellis was employed with Sear’s for thirty years and with Springhill Medical Center for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hinton Ellis; and son, Johnny Ellis. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanie Ellis (Scooter) Thronson; son, Jimmy Ellis; granddaughter, Danielle Ellis; step-granddaughter, Tiffany Thronson. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to any animal rescue foundation of your choice.
