Elizabeth "Libba" Payne Payne Young

Elizabeth “Libba” Payne Young – A native of Mobile, AL and resident of Saraland, AL died Thursday, July 14, 2011 in a Birmingham hospital. She was a member of Center Pointe Assembly of God Church. She retired as a Registered Nurse where she worked in the Mobile area. Mrs. Young was a heart transplant recipient on July 8, 1999. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Young; parents, Lamar and Kay Payne; and brother, Thomas Payne. Survivors include three children, Patrick Young, Steven Arthur (Amy) Young, Sr. and Katherine (Troy) Sellew; six grandchildren, Alexandria, Steven Jr., Brandon and Elizabeth Young, Katherine and Troy Sellew, Jr.; one brother, Lamar Payne, Jr.; other family members and numerous friends. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Center Pointe Assembly of God Church.
