Elsie was our Matriarch and the last one to leave us of an incredible generation! She was the youngest of 5 children, born in Brooksville Mississippi. When she was 12 years old, her Dad got a job with the Mobile Gas Company, so their family of seven moved to Alabama. She and her four siblings went to Murphy & Vigor High Schools. Her young years were filled with happy memories of close friends and family gatherings. It was a safe, simple wonderful life. She loved talking about those times!
She married James Allen when she was nineteen. They built a life that mimicked what they both had grown up with; Godly morals, high work ethics and the value of family and friends.
This was a hard working women, all of her life. She is the reason her children had a wonderful and endearing childhood.
She and Daddy worked hard to give us things we needed and a simple and happy life. She taught us about tradition, family, friendship & love, the most important things in life. She left a legacy of love in her children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews. She adored each one. Hers was a life well lived and loved by so many.
Mom, go and rest in the arms of Jesus and with your precious loved ones in Glory. You will be greatly missed!
