Emmitt Roland West

He was born on June 30, 1947 to Emmitt and Mattie West. He graduated from Vigor High School in 1967. He loved fishing and was very comical. He told many tall tales during his fishing trips. He met the love of his life, Bobbie, in 1982, and married each other on December 31, 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents Emmitt and Mattie West, and sister, Bobbie Joan Williamson. He leaves to cherish his wife; Bobbie J. West, stepsons; Vince Hatchett, David W. Hatchett, Son; Christopher Martin West, grandchildren; Michael Gibson (Brenna), Rachel Lau, Matthew Hatchett, Tyler Hatchett (Haley), Logan Lucas, Reagan West, six great-grandchildren, sisters; Hazel Bennefield, Bettie Jean Williamson, Kay Mason, Pat Denmark, honorary brother; Tommy Norman (Sherry), and other family, friends, and relatives that will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10 am from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9 am prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy., Saraland, AL 36571.
