Evelyn Louise Edwards

When Jesus called she took His hand and never looked back. She walked into Heaven surrounded by family that gone on before her. Awaiting her arrival was her mother Evelyn A. Thacker, brothers Donald, Buddy, Jim, Marvin Kilgore, Sisters Patricia Clontz, Minnie Ruth Scott and many friends and loved ones.

Leaving a lifetime of memories and an unending love are her husband of 31 years, Eddie R. Edwards. Daughters Lillie (Donny) Boyd of Saraland, AL., Karla (Greg) Whitmire of East Ridge, TN. Patricke Lynne Luzier and life partner Mark Cooper of Saraland, AL., Aundria (Shane)Hume of Saraland, AL. Step daughter Grace (Chaz) Kennedy of Tupelo, MS. Grandchildren Shawn Luzier, Blake and Sarah Whitmire, Gauge Bohannon, Easton Hume, and a blended with Jacob and Caroline Hume. Brothers Bill Kilgore and Andrew Brock of Chattanooga, TN. One great grand daughter, Skye Luzier , two devoted friends along for the forty year ride Barbara Vaughn and Regina Boutwell and a host of loving family and friends..

To know her was to know that you had a friend on your side always. She was always honest, never sugar coating the truth. Often told it, even if you weren't ready to hear it. If you were blessed enough to be loved by her- you knew deep, strong, unending love that went to the moon and back.

We have lost a wife, mother, sister and, friend. But Heaven gained a loving prayer warrior. Go Rest High on the Mountain, Your Work on Earth is Through.

Until we come to Heaven, We will never forget you.

A Special Thank You to Southern Care Hospice for the way they cared for and helped with Evelyn. And also a Special Thank You to all the Nurses and Doctors on the 3rd floor at Springhill Medical Ceneter.

Memorial Services August 31, 2016, 5:30 PM at Gateway Baptist Church, 10 Saraland Blvd. North, Saraland, Al. 36571.

Also, the family will receive friends at 3 p.m. at Lane's Funeral Home, 833 Chickamauga Ave., Rossville, GA 30741, with memorial services following.
