Evelyn Keel DeArmond Liles – born August 2, 1918 in Grove Hill, AL and resident of Saraland, AL died Monday, October 28, 2013. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where her joy was singing in the choir. She was an avid gardener and an excellent seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John A. DeArmond and Jack Liles; one son, John Wayne DeArmond; and two sisters, Margarete Armistead and Nora Bell Carpenter. Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Bill) Tunnell; three brothers, Mitford Keel, Johnnie (Katie) Keel and Herman (Roylene) Keel; five grandchildren, Kim Tunnell, Jim (Luann) Tunnell, Patricia (Harold) Parker, Summer (Shane) Trapp and Kyle (Janet) DeArmond; eight great-grandchildren, Christina, Samantha, Colton, Shelbe, Tristen, Lillian, Kayden and Brennan; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to give special thanks to Southern Care Hospice and to Vanessa Moore.
