Celebration of Life services for Mr. Fayette Earl Corlett, Jr., 79, will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571, with Bro. Bob Barr and Bro. Dave Rhodes officiating. Interment will Immediately follow on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 10000 Celeste Road, Saraland, Alabama, 36571.
The family will be receiving guests in honor of Mr. Fayette at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, Alabama 36571, Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 12:00 PM until time of service.
Mr. Fayette Earl Corlett, Jr. was born October 14, 1938, in Mobile County, Alabama, to the late Fayette Earl and Lillian Grace Anderson Corlett Sr. He was called from this earthly home and received into Heaven on September 18, 2018, Mobile, Alabama. Fayette Attended Satsuma and Vigor High Schools here in Alabama. He served his grateful nation by joining the United States Navy. Fayette was associated with Chickasaw City Counsel for eleven years, was a pipefitter and meat cutter. He served as deacon of First Baptist Church in Chickasaw. Fayette loved Alabama football, boxing, gambling and helping out senior citizens in his community. He always enjoyed making his grandchildren and others laugh by joking around. Fayette will be remembered for volunteering his time to help people in need, giving and caring for others.
Fayette had many accomplishments such as Service on the Board of Adjustment for three years, acting as past vice chair of Mobile Community Action for two years, serving on the baseball board @ John Dotson Park Chickasaw, receiving Citizen of the Year from Civitan Club and serving as past president of Old School Antique Car Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish the warm memories Mr. Fayette leaves behind are his wife; Sharon L. Brooks Corlett, seven children: Dana Darlene Burnside, Fayette E. Corlett III, Paige Delene Howell, Stephanie Perkins, Fayette Antonio Corlett, Christy Lynn Pearson and Jennifer Mashell Beatty, with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring Mr. Fayette as pallbearers will be James Pearson, Jay Ross, Art Wright, Terry Graddick, Bob Barr and Duke Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Dyar and Troy Willis.
