Frances Lester Kendrick

Mrs. Frances Lester Kendrick, age 90 and longtime resident of Saraland, AL, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband Dewey L. Kendrick , son James W. Pope, sisters Ruby Lee McNeil and Sarah McMullan. Mrs. Kendrick was the first female member of the Greenville High School Band, was active in her church where she sang in the choir and loved to play the piano. Her family will remember her as a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved cooking, Alabama Football and her “QVC”. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Kendrick is survived by her children, Beverly Jo Pope Jones, Randy Kendrick (Jill) and Greg L. Kendrick (Karyn). She is also survived by her brothers George Lester (Betty) of Wilmer, AL, Robert G. Lester of Billings, Montana, sister Louise Church (Bill) of Montgomery, AL, eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
