Francis Edward Ward

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of Orchard Baptist Church, serving as Deacon and he especially enjoyed being a member of the Food Pantry and the Shepherd’s Staff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy F. and Frances Thompson Ward and a sister, Margaret Furlow.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Sara Singley Ward; one son, Kenneth (Becky) Ward, one granddaughter, Jessie (Brandon) Spears and one great granddaughter, Belle; brother, Robert Ward of Madison, Alabama, sister-in-law, Lou Hawks of Magnolia, Texas; loving family members and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Alabama. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm at Cooper’s Church Cemetery, Silas, Alabama
