A true southern gentleman. He was a wonderful father, a great host, and generous to a fault. I ware his Alabama sweaters with great pride. He will always be in my heart.

So sorry for your loss.....Gary use to carry my books to class at Satsuma High School.....We liked each other, but we were really young.....I remember he was a little shorter than me, and I wore flats so I wouldn't be taller than him.....I've never shared this story...I prayed to God to not let me grow another inch, until he caught up to me.....Well, guess what?...…...I didn't!..Still around 5' tall...…….And he didn't grow much either!....I guess you could say it was "Puppy Love"......We remained friends through high school.....Never dated....I always thought that one day I would get to share this story with him, but that didn't happen......So now I am sharing it with you...…….I hope this made someone smile.....It did me...…..God bless..

I met Gary at a nightclub where I used to play regularly. I was immediately impressed with his smile, his outlook, and his charismatic charm. Always a gentleman, he would take the time to speak to me everytime we saw each other. I am so very sorry for this loss. I send my love & sincere condolences to his parents, siblings, children, & other family members. May God give you comfort, peace, & understanding in the long days ahead. Gary was truly a fine man & I am honored to have known him. Blessings to you all.......

To my uncle, I’m sorry we didn’t spend much time together and that we were not closer. I know you were a great man. I pray for you and your children to find peace. For my cousins, I am so sorry that you had to experience this horrible loss. I believe you three will bear this the hardest. I believe if you look, you will see little signs all over that your dad is still with you. My heart goes out to you all.

My first meeting of Gary was on a golf course up here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and before we could finish 18 holes, we connected in a way that has altered my life. To be a friend of this kind, honest, smart and funny man was and will always be an honor for me. Over those 25 years, we had a brotherly relationship has enough wonderful memories to last my lifetime, to which I am very thankful. To Jeremy, Jonathan and Meghan, my sincere and deepest condolences. To all other family members and close friends, especially to the ones I met, also my sympathy. Love you, Gary. See you on the 19th hole, just past the pearly gates.

Uncle Gary was always the cool uncle with jokes. Would make you laugh till you cried. He had the biggest heart and amazing soul that I have ever seen.
I regret not spending more time with him. He will be greatly missed by all.
