Gene Haynes
September 12, 1939 – January 19, 2023

Mr. Oliver Eugene “Gene” Haynes , age 83, resident of Satsuma, AL passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shary Haynes, parents Landon and Lucille Haynes and brother Gary Haynes.
Mr. Haynes served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was employed as a welder with Local 119 for many years. He enjoyed square dancing, Nascar, Bama football, travelling, wood carving and watching old westerns on television.
Gene is survived by his daughter Karen DeYoung and son-in-law Mike DeYoung, brother and sister-in-law James and Deborah Haynes, sister Barbara Haynes Cook and granddaughter Sarah DeYoung.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with funeral services in the chapel beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Haynes, Jason Haynes, Mike DeYoung, Larry Grimes, and Mike Davis.
