George Daniel Hilburn, Jr.

George Daniel Hilburn, Jr. – a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and lifelong resident of Eight Mile, AL passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014. He was a member of the Vigor High School class of ’56 and a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Hilburn was the owner and captain of H & H Associates. He was a longtime member of the Bowen Masonic Lodge. Captain George also enjoyed fishing.

Mr. Hilburn was preceded in death by his parents, George D. and Artie Hilburn; sister, Betty Joyce Hilburn; and granddaughter, Haley Champion. He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Lorine Hilburn; children, Brannon Lowery, Tonya Lowery Fruhling (Greg), Heather Cannon; grandchildren, Benjamin Lowery, Samantha Morrow (Nick), Nicholas Lowery, and Cody Lowery; great-grandchildren, Hudson Morrow and AllieClaire Morrow; sister, Sylvia Hoth (Lloyd); nieces and nephew, Teresa Bell (Dwain), Sharon Freeman (John), and Bill McKenna; many great-nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be held in Gulf Crest Cemetery on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland from 11:30 a.m. until the 1:30 procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-mobile.com.
