George Patton Young

George Patton Young – age 65, born to the union of Lonnie Stone Young and Ruby Amelia Knapp on December 28, 1944 in Fairford, AL, passed away quietly at his home surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Young retired from Lerio Corp. in 2003 after 27 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Anne Elizabeth Payne Young; children, Patrick Lamar Young, Steven Arthur Young, Sr. (Amy), and Katherine Amelia Young Sellew (Troy); brother, Anderson Young (Alma) of Muskeegon, MI; sister, Roma Partin of Meridian, MS; six grandchildren, Alexandria Renee Young, Steven Arthur Young, Jr., Brandon Clark Young, Elizabeth Marie Young, Katherine Elizabeth Sellew, and Troy Patrick Sellew, Jr.; other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Wiregrass Hospice for their support and continued loyalty, especially, Tori and Mickey. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, October 18, 2010, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 17, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairford.
