

Mrs. Cook was a founding member of Prichard Assembly of God, which later became Lakeview Assembly of God, and is now Fountain of Life Church. A woman of strong faith, she was very active in her church. She was a member and past-president of the church's Women's Missionary Council, earning a Mobile Scroll of Merit for her work in that organization. Many of the church's youth members went on to lead very successful lives in mission work and other areas as a result of her guidance as the church's Youth Sunday School Superintendent.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, James Ralph Cook, and son-in-law, Robert Lee Mott. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Criswell (V.C.) and Darothy Mott; grandchildren, V. Clyde Criswell, III (Jeannette), Susan Gantick (Christopher), Kimberly Tait, Sandi Emanuel (Tony), and Robbin Stevens (Kenny); great-grandchildren, Brian Gantick, Heather Hestand (John), John Tait, III (Brandi), Kristopher Bennett, Myra Jane Bennett, Walter Bennett, Jr., Kaleb Stevens (Stephanie), and Gabriel Stevens; brother, Jerry M. Caffman (Carolyn); brother-in-law, Joseph W. Cook (Joyce); nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held from Fountain of Life Church on Monday, September 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Clinton Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Sunday, September 22, from 3-6 p.m. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
