Glenda Carolyn Purvis

Glenda “memaw” was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She loved cooking, camping and spending time at the beach with her family. Whenever anyone met her, they loved her, her loving and caring personality would shine thru.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Grace Pate Deitz; two brothers and 3 sisters.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, who she married on June 29, 1992, Dale Purvis, children, Lynn (Angela) Ryals, and Sherry (Jack) Rodgers; grandchildren, Kyndal (Katlyn) Slater, Brandon (Jamee) Ryals, Kelsey (Jonathan) Cribb, Ciara Ryals, Kristen Ryals, Brandon Rodgers (Danielle), Jonathan Rodgers, Kristen Slater and Karenda Slater. Six great grandchildren, and other relatives, family and friends also survive her.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home – Saraland, on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saraland, Alabama.
