Gloria Hope Howard, loving mother and even greater grandmother, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021, just two days after her 75th birthday. She was born January 24, 1946 in Bessemer, AL. She retired from the Prichard Police Department where she was dispatcher for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Owen Howard, Sr., and her grandson, Robert Evan Howard. She is survived by her two siblings, Kenny and Teeny; two children, Karen Sue Howard and Norman Owen Howard, Jr.; five grandchildren, Dusty, Kayla, Corey, Ciera and Kara; five great grandchildren, Lilly, Luke, Ellie, Noah and Jacob.
Gloria had a passion for painting, building bird houses, drinking coffee and enjoying company on her front porch. Her paintings and bird houses were admired and loved and where given to her friends and family.
She enjoyed music and dancing in her family environment, most important and remembered of Gloria is she loved her family, chihuahua's , growing and eating fruits and vegetables off of her land. She was kind hearted, welcoming, selfless, hilarious and loved by so many. Her love for Jesus and the Lord was inspiring.
