Harold “Roy” Beahn, Jr. – loving son, father, grandfather, and brother, a 69 year-old lifelong resident of Saraland, Alabama passed away in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, April 25, 2026. After earning an associate degree in Industrial Instrumentation, he attended the University of South Alabama where he earned bachelor’s degrees in both chemical engineering and organic chemistry. In his more than 40 year career as a chemical engineer, he worked at Virginia Chemical, Dupont, Shell, Kerr-McGee, Cytec and Chevron. Mr. Beahn enjoyed motocross racing, surfing, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, and mountain biking.
Mr. Beahn was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Roy Beahn, Sr. and Earline Beahn. He is survived by his children, Stephanie Overstreet (Josh), Tiffany Beahn, and Eric Beahn; grandchildren, Amelia Wheeler, Jonah Overstreet, Violet Parker, and Anderson Overstreet; brother, Bob Beahn (Kathy); sister, Mary Ann Conner (Dave); niece Hanna Williams (Aaron); nephew, Nick Beahn; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
