Helen Juanita Simison

Helen Juanita Simison, age 91, a native of York, AL. and resident of Mount Vernon. AL, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the age of 91. Helen is survived by daughters; Maurine (William C.) Stagner, Betty S. Robinson and Sandra (Larry) Wilson. Sisters Ida Linsley and Dorothy Abrams, brother Milton Morris. Grandchildren Krista (Gene) Herring, Curt (Jamie) Stagner, Karla (J.D.) Lawrence, Lindsay Wilson, Darrell (Howie) Middleton, Michelle Middleton (Terry) Weaver. Lesley (Casey) Hartley Dean and Jillian (Brad) Mosley. 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Walter P. Smith, mother Maurine Estes Morris, husband Walter B. Simison, daughter Donna S. Hartley, grandson Roy G. Stewart, Jr. Brother F.M. Morris and Walter P. (Smitty) Smith, Jr.

A visitation for Helen will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon UMC, 18890 St. Stephens Rd, Mount Vernon, AL. 36560 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donald Williamson. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Community Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Curt Stagner, Terry Reed, Sean Henderson, Leighton Taylor, Larry Weaver and Howie Cuevas. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell Middleton, Race Bryan, Casey Dean and Brad Mosley.
