Inez Gesile Sanderson Waltman

Inez Gesile Sanderson Waltman , age 57, longtime resident of Saraland, AL, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond G. and Gladys Sanderson and brother Ray Sanderson. Gesile was an individual who exemplified overcoming adversity. After suffering a life changing injury at a young age, she not only raised three children, but became an advocate for individuals with disabilities. She was strong willed and never let her disability come between her and her family nor her day to day living. She was an example to many others with disabilities of what it means to live every day no matter what your struggle. She was a lifelong member of Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church and was very active in her community. Her greatest love was her Lord and her Children. Gesile will be missed by her church family and closest friends who were her support and whom she loved dearly. She will be remembered by her family and friends especially for her humor and laughter. Mrs. Waltman is survived by her children, Matthew Thomas Waltman (Teri), Jennifer Harris McMillan (Jason), April Waltman Reed (Christopher), brother, Edward W. Sanderson (Diane). She is also survived by her aunt, Barbara Sanderson, grandchildren, Cody and Baylee Whitlock, Briana and Jacob McMillan, Hunter and Landon Harris, Eli, Ethan and Elliot Reed and her beloved puppies Bella and Baxter. Visitation will be held at Shelton Beach Road Baptist Church on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the church on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
