Jackie Gilford Curtis, age 73, of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Jackie was born Sunday, January 23, 1949, in Mobile, AL. He served his grateful nation in the United States Army and later retired from UOP after 35 years of employment. Jackie was a dedicated family man and cherished spending quality time with family and friends. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, boating, and was an avid Crimson Tide fan.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, Sam O. and Vena Noles Curtis; his sister, Faye Curtis Bell; his brother-in-law, Frank Bell; and cousin, Levita Corbin.
Left to cherish his memory and remarkably gentle spirit are his beloved wife of forty-four years, Judy Curtis; two sons: Jason Curtis and partner Amanda Meigs, Jeffrey Curtis, his granddaughter, Alexandra Curtis; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Visitation for Jackie will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022, from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Little Flower Catholic Church, 2053 Government Street, Mobile, AL 36606, with Father John Lyons officiating.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, Alabama 36605.
