Jacob Harvey Godwin, 81, of Satsuma, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016, at a local hospital. Private services will be held at later date. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Godwin and Bessie Clarke Godwin and his son, Jacob Harvey Godwin, Jr. Mr. Godwin is survived by his two sons, Jeff Godwin and Gregory Godwin; three sisters, Josephine McNeil, Corrine Darawich, and Kathleen Rice; four grandchildren, Jacob Godwin, III, Mary Pasley, Bridgette Windham, and Elizabeth Godwin; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 505 Mobile, AL, and Shadow Lawn Baptist Church.
