James Carlton Baker Jr., age 67, of Satsuma, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, in Mobile, Alabama surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Monday, June 6, 1955, in Mobile, Alabama to the late James Carlton Baker, Sr. and Beverly Louis Boyes Baker. He graduated from Satsuma High School in 1973. James joined the IBEW local union 505 in 1977 and was an active member for over forty-five years. Prior to retiring in 2015, which he said was the best job he ever had; James worked at several local plants and refineries as an industrial electrician. He loved hunting fishing, wildlife, spending time with his family and friends. Most of all James loved entertaining his granddaughters.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish James's wonderful memories will be his beloved daughter; Jamie Baker Campbell (James Scott), two granddaughters: Amelia Grace, Ellie James Campbell, two sisters: Ann Walsh (Marsena), Carla Baker, many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, his two of mans best friends: Buddy, and Bailey.
There will be a family held memorial to be scheduled at a later date.
Memorials may be made in honor of James Carlton Baker, Jr. to the American Lung Association, American Cancer Association or the Alabama Wildlife Federation.
