

Jimmy Butler – a native and lifelong resident of Mobile entered into rest on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at a local hospital. Mr. Butler, a longtime boilermaker, was a member of the Boilermaker’s Union Local 112. He was a longtime member of Loop Masonic Lodge Number 895 F&AM. The Abba Temple Shrine, and the Scottish Rite. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed restoring antique autos and showing them in area car shows.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Coleman Butler and Mathew Calbreth Butler, Sr.; three brothers, Mathew, Jr., Donald, and Dewey Butler; half-brother, Allen M. Butler; and half-sister, Rita Butler Weaver. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Evelyn Goodman Butler; three daughters, Janie Butler Weaver, Shonda Butler Todd, and Evelyn Denise Dearman (Gary); sister, Mary Butler Smallwood (Johnny); half-sister, Melba Butler Layton (Bill); 11 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe Frank Enzor officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
