Master gardener and retired civil service telecommunications installation engineer, James Edward Ezell, went to be with his holy Father June 20, 2021, at the age of 89, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
James was a hard working provider and loved to tell his granddaughters about the variety of jobs he held from the age of 8. James chopped wood, shined shoes, sold peanuts, newspapers, ice cream, confetti, and delivered groceries and telegrams for Western Union. James was one of 9 children and loved his family above all things. The simple pleasure of gardening brought joy to James. He also loved spending time with his family and telling stories about his life and travels.
James is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Ezell; father Aden Ezell; mother Birdie Ezell; brothers AC Ezell, Gene Ezell, Wallace Ezell, Melvin Ezell, and ST Ezell; sisters Mildred Cooper, Helen Moberg, and Maxine Lucci.
He is survived by son James Timothy Ezell and his wife Elecia; granddaughters Elizabeth Anne Ezell and her fiancé Kyle Oglesby, Jordan Ezell Orr and her husband Matthew, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
