James Earl Gartman

James Earl Gartman- age 79, was born on August 23, 1941, in Fernbank, Alabama and passed away in Citronelle, Alabama on Saturday, July 24, 2021. He leaves two sons, Wendall Gartman (Kim) and Mark Gartman (Elizabeth); 6 grandsons, Jesse Gartman (Emily), Josh Gartman, Aithan Gartman (Stephanie), Garrett Gartman, Tyler Fillmore and Ryan Fillmore; 6 great grandsons, Shaye, Weston, Brock, Tanner, Cody and Whitley; 3 brothers, Gene Gartman (Adrienne), Robert Gartman and Benny Joe Gartman; and sister, Nancy Whisenhunt. He was preceded in death by his father, James Cecil Gartman; mother, Nettie Bea Gartman; and brothers, Edwin Gartman and Ricky Gartman.

He retired from Teledyne as a machine operator after many years of service. Mr. Gartman enjoyed woodworking, building and creating was his passion.

Funeral services will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland from 12-2 p.m. prior to the procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
