James Arthur "Buddy" Hathcock

James Arthur “Buddy” Hathcock – 94, a native of Agricola, MS and a resident of Chickasaw, AL died on May 20, 2014. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and, after returning to the United States, worked at Western Electric for 37 years.

Mr. Hathcock was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rose and James Hathcock; three sisters, Lucille Shows, Eugenie Hathcock, and Ivon Rainey; and one brother, Raymond Hathcock. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hathcock; step-son, James Richard Sutton, Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Rachel Ellison and David Sutton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, May 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dave Rhodes of Chickasaw United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
