James Earl (J.R.) Roberson – age 62, a native and resident of Mobile, AL died Thursday, February 6, 2014 in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sissy Roberson; his parents, Charles and Mildred Roberson; mother-in-law, Faye Brooke; and grandmother, Lacy Silvers. He is survived by two sons, Stephen (Carrie) Roberson and Phillip (Margaret) Roberson; six brothers, Charlie (Sue) Roberson, Bill Roberson, Robert (Lorna) Roberson, Albert (Sandra) Roberson, Aubrey (Susan) Roberson and Terry (Lynn) Roberson; one sister, Brenda (Albert, Sr.) Hanke; seven grandchildren, Tina, Samantha, Shannon, Ian, Jaime, Jacob and Kourtney; three great-grandchildren, Bella, Braxton and Parker; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Monday, February 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
